Card in a Box

These fun “card-in-a-box” cards are all the rage right now.  They are fun to make and even more fun to receive!  I’m teaching my local group this technique next week, but I’m modifying the size to be a bit smaller than this one so it will fit into a standard A2 envelope.  I’ll share the other one once the ladies here have seen it.

All About Love

IMG_4350
For this card I used the Language of Love stamp set to make a banner and then pulled out the Sale-a-Bration stamp set  (See Ya Later) for the greeting.  I like making these chalkboard style cards because they are different than what most of my recipients have ever received.  It’s also nice to only have white ink on my table when I’m crafting to simplify things.
Hope you’re having a great week!

Not just for Valentine’s Day

IMG_4427
I made several cards for my Valentine before picking out my favorite.  The others I feel I can give any time of year, not just on the holiday.  Anyway, I have always loved the owl punch and she looks so cute looking out thru the hole.  I like this new background stamp that looks like a fence.  I think it’ll be handy all year long and I’m already thinking of the possibilities for Halloween cards using it!
Happy Stampin!

A Special Valentine

Today I’m sharing the card I made for my husband for Valentine’s Day.  I added some extra flaps to the flip card so I would have plenty of room to string a banner and write my greeting.

In addition to writing a greeting in this card, I’m going to go about the business of getting unpacked from my vacation.  It seems I made it out of Atlanta just in time before the big storm hit and the airport was closed.  It’s great to be back home in rainy & gray Oregon.
I’ll be sending out shipping rebates today for those of you who placed orders while I was out of town.  I also have a big box of Stampin’ Up goodies that I need to sort out for my local customers.  By next week I hope to be caught up and back to business as usual.
Have a great Valentine’s weekend-
